LHU students won Consolation prizes at the 22nd Chinese Bridge Competition

Two students of the Department of Chinese Language of LHU won two Consolation prizes at the 22nd Chinese Bridge Competition for students of universities and colleges in Southern provinces and cities held on May 26 at the HCM City University of Education.

The "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition is an interesting and useful academic playground for Chinese language learners of universities and colleges in Southern Vietnam to strengthen their understanding of Chinese language and culture. It is also considered as a bridge to promote the friendship between the people of China and Vietnam.

Participating in this year’s competition were 32 contestants from 15 universities in southern Vietnam including University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM; HCM City University of Education; LHU; Van Hien University; Thu Dau Mot University; Nguyen Tat Thanh University; HUTECH; Van Lang University; HUFLIT; Hong Bang International University; HCM City Open University, HCM City University of Economics and Finance, Hung Vuong University, Hoa Sen University and HCM City University of Food Industry.

LHU took part in this competition with two students, Ho Tuyet Ngan, class 20DT112 and Ho Thanh Ha, class 20DT113. The two students with their confidence and efforts performed excellently and won Consolation prizes.

At the competition, the contestants took turns to participate in three main parts to assess their Chinese language abilities; knowledge about China, cultural skills (music, dance, choreography, variety, musical instruments, calligraphy, painting, paper cutting, martial arts, etc.) and general knowledge related to Chinese language and culture.

After the three rounds, Ho Tuyet Ngan and Ho Thanh Ha won Consolation prizes at the competition.
