    Workshop on Evaluating the Training Program and Learning Outcomes for the Tourism and Travel Services Management Program – 2026

    In order to ensure the quality of education and enhance the responsiveness of the training program to the practical needs of the labor market, The Faculty of Administration International Economics, Lac Hong University, organized a Workshop on Evaluating the Training Program and Learning Outcomes for the Tourism and Travel Services Management Program – 2026.

    The workshop took place on the afternoon of March 13, 2026, with the participation of the University Board of Management, experts, business representatives, alumni, as well as lecturers and students of the program. The event aimed to evaluate, review, and improve the training program, thereby ensuring that the curriculum remains aligned with the development trends of the tourism industry and the actual demand for human resources.

    Overview of the Program

    Opening Remarks and Program Orientation

    At the beginning of the program, PhD Nguyen Van Tan – Vice President of Lac Hong University delivered the opening remarks and provided orientation for the workshop. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of regularly reviewing and updating training programs in order to ensure the quality of higher education and meet the increasingly demanding requirements of the labor market.

    He also affirmed that the participation of experts, businesses, and alumni in program evaluation activities is an important factor that helps the university receive practical perspectives. These insights enable the university to continue improving its training programs and enhancing students’ professional competencies after graduation.

    Participation of Experts, Businesses, Alumni, and Current Students of the Tourism and Travel Services Management Program

    The workshop was attended by many representatives from organizations, institutions, and businesses in the tourism sector, including:

    • PhD Candidate, MA Nguyen Xuan Khue – Head of the Tourism Faculty, Hoa Binh College – Xuan Loc Campus

    • MA Nguyen Ngoc Diep – Deputy Head of the Tourism Department, Dong Nai University of Technology

    • Mr. Tran Dang Ninh – Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Dong Nai Tourism Association; Dong Nai Food Industry Corporation (DOFICO)

    • Mr. Than Van Linh – Director of Tri An Adventure Co., Ltd.

    • Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy – Alumna of the Tourism and Travel Services Management Program

    Presentation of the Training Program and Learning Outcomes

    In the main part of the program, MA Phan Van Hai – Head of the Tourism Management and Operations Division presented an overview of the training program and learning outcomes of the Tourism and Travel Services Management major.

    The presentation focused on key aspects such as the structure of the training program, development orientation of the major, professional competencies, and career-related skills that students are expected to achieve after graduation. This presentation also served as a basis for experts and business representatives to provide feedback and suggestions for improving the program.

    Discussion and Feedback from Experts

    During the discussion session, experts, business representatives, and lecturers provided many valuable suggestions to improve the training program of the Tourism and Travel Services Management major. The recommendations mainly focused on:

    • Adjusting the sequence of several courses within the curriculum

    • Adding content related to Tourism Law

    • Increasing projects and practical learning activities for students

    • Reviewing the program completion timeline

    • Enhancing students’ English proficiency, especially English for Tourism

    These contributions will serve as an important basis for The Faculty of Administration International Economics to continue reviewing, revising, and improving the training program, thereby enhancing training quality and better meeting the workforce demands of the tourism industry in the context of integration and development.

    Organizing workshops to evaluate training programs and learning outcomes is an important activity in the university’s quality assurance process. By listening to feedback from stakeholders such as experts, businesses, alumni, and students, the training program can be regularly updated and improved to better meet societal needs and the development trends of the tourism industry.

    This activity also reaffirms the training orientation of The Faculty of Administration International Economics, Lac Hong University in strengthening the connection between education and real-world practice, improving the quality of human resources, and meeting the needs of the labor market.
