Lac Hong University completes AUN-QA re-assessment for four undergraduate programmes

From June 9 to 11, 2026, Lac Hong University hosted the 523rd AUN-QA external assessment for four undergraduate programmes: Pharmacy, Business Administration, English Language and Accounting. The assessment was jointly organised by the University and the ASEAN University Network (AUN) as part of the University’s strategy for quality assurance and continuous improvement of academic programmes in line with regional and international integration.

The assessment was attended by University leaders, the AUN-QA assessment team, leaders of faculties and relevant units, lecturers, students, alumni, employers and support staff. Over three working days, the assessment sessions followed professional procedures and met the organisational requirements set by AUN-QA. The process focused on reviewing the quality assurance system, the programmes’ level of compliance with assessment criteria, and the participation of stakeholders.

At the opening session, Lac Hong University also received certificates from the 465th AUN-QA assessment for four master’s programmes: Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Finance and Banking, and Information Technology. This marked another milestone in the University’s continued efforts to build a quality culture in both postgraduate and undergraduate education.

On the first working day, the assessment team visited and reviewed the University’s facilities and those of the relevant faculties. Interview sessions were also conducted with faculty leaders, self-assessment report teams, lecturers, support staff and student representatives from the first to the final year of the four assessed academic programmes.

On the second working day, the assessment team conducted two interview sessions with alumni and representatives of businesses and employers. The team also held internal meetings and worked with the self-assessment report writing teams to clarify professional issues and review additional evidence. These sessions helped provide practical perspectives on programme quality and the extent to which the programmes meet labour market needs.

At the closing ceremony on June 11, the assessment team presented preliminary findings and professional feedback. Lac Hong University acknowledged the recommendations and will use them as a basis for developing quality enhancement plans in the coming period.

The successful completion of the assessment reflected careful preparation, training, review and trial operations. It was also the result of cooperation and responsibility among stakeholders, relevant units and support teams in charge of facilities, technical services, communications and logistics.

The University also expressed its appreciation to media agencies for their interest in and coverage of the event.

Following the re-assessment, Lac Hong University continues to affirm its commitment to learner-centred education, improving training quality, meeting the demand for high-quality human resources and promoting the assessment of other academic programmes under its strategic quality assurance roadmap.
