Thematic workshop on "Working skills at Japanese companies"

October 18, 2023 LHU in collaboration with Vietnam Suzuki Co., Ltd. organized a workshop themed "Working skills at Japanese companies for students majoring in Japanese Language and Automotive Technology", attracting the participation of nearly 200 students. The workshop aims to equip students with skills, knowledge, attitudes, experience they need to prepare for their future internships, job applications and interviews at Japanese businesses.

Attending the workshop, from the Suzuki Company's side were Mr. Toshiyuki Takahara - General Director; Mr. Yamaguchi Hitoshi - Manger of the Department of Human Resources and General Affairs.

From the LHU's side, there were Mr. Pham Van Toan - Dean of the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics; Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghi - Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies; Mr. Huynh Thuc Hieu - Deputy Director of the Center of Admissions and Public Relations; Mr. Nguyen Hai Quan - Head of the Division of Corporate Relations and Student Support and lecturers.

Officially operating in Vietnam in 1996, the Vietnam Suzuki Co., Ltd., located in Long Binh Industrial Park, Bien Hoa, Dong Nai, currently produces 2 vehicle types: motorcycles and cars.

At the event, Mr. Toshiyuki Takahara - General Director of Vietnam Suzuki Co., Ltd. shared his Company's establishment and development as well as introduced products the Company produces each year.

There was also a Q&A session between the participants and the Company leaders. During the workshop, students asked many questions related to issues such as internships, job opportunities, requirements, the future orientation of the automobile industry,... There were also concerns about the welfare and the benefits for students.

The workshop partly helped students have more knowledge, experience, and preparations for their future jobs after graduation. More similar workshops for students of all faculties will be held in the coming time.
