LHU students conquer the Bosch Future Mobility Challenge 2023

Excellently overcoming 11 strongest competitors from prestigious universities worldwide, LH-CDC team, LHU firstly makes a feat when becoming the only team of Vietnam to advance to the semi-finals of Bosch Future Mobility Challenge (BFMC) 2023 held in Romania, Europe this May. This is considered the most impressive achievement of Vietnam at this international autonomous driving.

Before this great challenge, three Vietnamese teams had worked hard and prepared carefully for the test track sponsored by Bosch Vietnam.

Tension and surprises are what was going on at the BFMC on May 6, 2023. Three representatives of Vietnam still maintain a persistent spirit to cope with many challenges.

Handling difficulties with challenges provided by the Organizers

As of now, LH-CDC has defeated 18 out of 24 teams, temporarily being the only team with most wins.
Dr. Hoang Ngoc Tan - Program Head of the Automotive Engineering Department, Mentor of LH-CDC team said "Facing difficulties due to little experience and limited test time, the LH-CDC team created a separate track for themselves to get as much testing time as possible.”

Previously, the students worked on their projects in collaboration with Bosch experts and academic professors for several months to develop the best-performing algorithms. So the Challenge is a great opportunity for them to practice and experience their creativity.

BFMC is an international technical competition initially launched by Bosch Engineering Center Cluj in 2017. The competition invites student teams every year to develop autonomous driving and connectivity algorithms on 1/10 scale vehicles, provided by the company, to navigate in a designated environment simulating a miniature smart city.
