LHU signed a cooperation agreement with CLEC

On the morning of April 24, 2023, LHU solemnly welcomed and worked with the delegation of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, the Consulate General of China in HCM City and the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC). At the meeting, under the witness of all above sides and the Department of Foreign Affairs of Dong Nai province, LHU officially signed a cooperation agreement with CLEC to implement a 3+2 joint training program.

From the side of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, there was Mr. Trinh Dai Vi - Educational Counselor; Mr. Vuong Dinh Quan - First Secretary. From the Consulate General of China in HCM City, there were Mr. Xu Zhou - Deputy Consul General and Mr. Zeng Ziwei - Attaché.

The CLEC was represented by Mr. Ma Tien Phi - Chairman; Mr. Dang Lien Soai - General Manager; Mr. Vuong Dung - Head of Planning and Development and Mr. Ho Tu Vien - Head of Examinations and Scholarships.

From LHU's side, there were DSc. Lam Thanh Hien - Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh - Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyen Huu Nghi - Dean of Faculty of Oriental Studies; Nguyen Thi Hoang Oanh, M.A - Head of Office of International Affairs cum Vice Dean of Faculty of Oriental Studies; Hoang Tien Dung, M.A - Deputy Head of Office of International Affairs; Phan The Anh, M.A - Program Head of Chinese Language Department; Luong Van Huy, M.A - Department Head of Chinese Language and specialists of the Office of International Affairs.

The meeting also saw the presence of Mr. Tran Quoc Toan - Deputy Director of Dong Nai provincial Department of Foreign Affairs.

The cooperation agreement signing ceremony between CLEC and LHU

The CLEC is a professional educational institution for international Chinese language education, affiliated with the Chinese Ministry of Education, dedicated to providing elite services for people of all countries to learn Chinese and understand China. It is responsible for supporting the provision of teaching resources, teaching Chinese language, organizing HKS proficiency tests and "Chinese Bridge" series, granting scholarships for international Chinese teachers, organizing the language exchange and cooperation between China and other countries.

At the meeting, the leaders of all parties expressed their expectation for the further development cooperation between LHU and CLEC, whereby LHU students have more opportunities to get scholarships to study in China. Within this cooperation's framework, each year, CLEC will provide 20 full scholarships for students majoring in Chinese Language to study at China's Ludong University.

After the signing ceremony with LHU, the delegation also had an exchange program with Chinese Language majors. At the exchange, the leaders shared and answered all concerns and questions related to applying for scholarships, studying and working in China.
