Logistics and Supply Chain Management Students from Class 26LG115 Explore the Professional Working Environment at Phuoc An Port

Early exposure to professional working environments is a distinctive feature of the Logistics and Supply Chain Management program at Lac Hong University (LHU). Guided by the principle of integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting regularly organizes industry field visits and experiential learning activities. These initiatives enable students to gain firsthand insights into their chosen profession, foster their enthusiasm for learning, and develop clearer pathways for their future careers.

On the morning of November 5, 2026, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting at Lac Hong University organized an educational field visit and experiential learning program at Phuoc An Port, located in Phuoc An Commune, Dong Nai City, for 44 students from class 26LG115, majoring in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. The visit formed part of the Introduction to Logistics and Supply Chain Management course, providing students with an opportunity to connect classroom knowledge with the practical operations of the logistics industry.

During the visit, students received an introduction to Phuoc An Port, toured the port facilities, and interacted with representatives of the organization. These activities provided valuable opportunities to explore the role of seaports in transportation, cargo handling, and supply chain connectivity, while gaining a clearer understanding of professional working environments and industry-specific requirements in the logistics sector.

A particularly significant aspect of the program was the opportunity for students to engage with industry practice from their very first semesters, rather than learning about their chosen profession exclusively through textbooks and classroom instruction. Such firsthand experiences enabled students to develop a deeper understanding of their field of study, establish clearer academic goals, and proactively acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for their future careers.

Through industry-based experiential learning activities, the Logistics and Supply Chain Management program at Lac Hong University seeks to foster a practice-oriented educational environment, strengthen university–industry partnerships, and enhance students' professional competencies. These opportunities also allow students to progressively explore potential career positions within the logistics sector, laying a foundation for future internships and employment after graduation.

For prospective students considering their academic and career pathways, activities such as the field visit to Phuoc An Port demonstrate that studying Logistics and Supply Chain Management at LHU extends beyond acquiring specialized knowledge; it also involves a continuous journey of experiential learning and professional exploration beginning in the first year of university. The integration of theoretical instruction and practical experience provides students with a strong foundation for adapting confidently to the evolving demands of the labor market.

The Faculty of Finance and Accounting at Lac Hong University extends its sincere appreciation to the management and staff of Phuoc An Port for their warm hospitality, valuable assistance in facilitating the visit, and willingness to share practical knowledge and professional insights. The organization's collaboration contributes to enhancing the quality of educational activities while expanding opportunities for students' academic and professional development.

From the classroom to the seaport, every field visit offers an opportunity for career exploration, and every practical experience represents a meaningful step toward future professional success. This educational philosophy reflects the core values of the Logistics and Supply Chain Management program at Lac Hong University, which remains committed to supporting students throughout their academic journeys and preparing them for rewarding careers in the logistics industry.
